Every phrase has an English meaning, and most carry a note where the grammar is the tricky part. The worked examples show the same phrase as a plain statement, after a connector, with a modal verb, and buried in a subordinate clause. Knowing a phrase and knowing what it does to your word order are two different things.

Not another vocabulary app
The task, not just the language
A vocabulary app makes you better at German. It does not tell you that the B2 card says bewerten, not just nennen, so listing pros and cons without a verdict costs you marks.
The cards are the real ones
Instructions and bullets are transcribed from the published Goethe sets, including the details prep sites get wrong. The Jugendliche sheets say Kurs, not Seminar, and the three bullets are not always printed in the same order.
Written to be spoken
Model answers are built to be said out loud in the time you actually get, not read off a page. Where a phrase cannot take a shape naturally, it is left out rather than padded.

Which exam does this prepare me for?
The Goethe-Zertifikat B1 and B2 speaking modules. B1 covers Teil 1 (Gemeinsam etwas planen) and Teil 2 (Ein Thema präsentieren), with the Teil 3 question round attached. B2 covers Teil 1 (Vortrag halten) and Teil 2 (Diskussion führen).
Are these the real exam topics?
The tasks are transcribed from the published Goethe Modellsatz and Übungssatz materials for both Erwachsene and Jugendliche, plus tasks from established preparation publishers. Each task records which of the two it came from, and the printed instruction on each card is reproduced word for word.
What is a Redemittel and why do I need them?
Redemittel are the set phrases that carry an exam answer - the wording you use to state an opinion, concede a point or close a talk. Examiners score whether your answer has an audible structure, and these phrases are what make it audible. The bank holds 3,936 of them with English meanings.
Can I print the material?
Yes. Every topic has a Print button that produces an A4 sheet with the full model answer, the phrases and the vocabulary - useful for revising away from a screen or taking into a class.
Do I need to know German grammar terms to use this?
No. Everything is explained in English alongside the German, and each phrase carries a note when its grammar is the tricky part, such as where the verb goes after weil or dass.
