For the six English-taught master programmes (Advanced Architecture M.Sc., Electrical Engineering - Renewable Energy, Global Logistics, High Integrity Systems, Information Technology, Leadership & Psychology), English proficiency per the official PDF list of accepted certificates must be proven at application. Exemption if a school/university degree was obtained in a country whose official or educational language matches the required language.

German Language

All bachelor programmes and most master programmes require German C1 proof at application (accepted: DSH-1, TestDaF min 14 points with no part below TDN 3, Goethe-Zertifikat C1/ZMP, completed vocational training in Germany, or current participation certificate in a DSH course elsewhere). At enrolment DSH-2/DSH-3 or equivalent is required: Goethe C2 (former ZOP), DSD II, TestDaF 4x TDN4 (one TDN 3 may be compensated by one TDN 5), telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule (not plain telc C1) with minimum result 'Sufficient', Feststellungspruefung grade >= 4 in German, or KMK-listed certificates. No conditional admission without proof by the deadline; Frankfurt UAS no longer offers its own DSH courses/exams. Preparatory college applicants need B1 exam certificate (or proof of completed B2 course); Spanish B1 additionally required for the German-Spanish Mechanical Engineering double degree.
