Overview
Income-independent merit scholarship awarded since winter semester 2011/2012. Around 50-60 scholarships are granted per funding year (winter 2026/27 + summer 2027). Recipients are also admitted to the university's ideelle 'on top' funding programme (workshops, networking). Selection by a central committee based on academic performance/progress, extracurricular and professional engagement, special personal or family circumstances, and awards/prizes. Applicants who are not yet enrolled, first-semester students and master's applicants must prove membership of the top 10 percent of their graduating cohort. Not counted against BAfoeG; no double funding above EUR 30/month.
