What it costs
Constructor University is a private institution and charges tuition. For 2026/2027: undergraduate tuition is €10,000 per semester (€20,000/year) plus university/semester fees of up to €696 per semester. Pre-degree semester tuition is €6,000. Graduate/master's tuition varies by programme (approximately €10,000-€18,000/year - verify per programme on the official site). Merit-based scholarships of up to €10,000 are automatically considered at admission; income-contingent tuition deferral is also available. There is no tuition-free pathway here - this is a fully private university.
Admission requirements
Undergraduate applicants require a recognised secondary school leaving certificate (e.g. Indian Class XII, A-levels, IB). Minimum IELTS 6.5 overall (or TOEFL iBT 90, Duolingo 110); native English speakers and students with 6+ years of exclusive English-medium schooling are exempt. No numerus clausus - admission is holistic: transcripts, motivation statement, CV, optional recommendation letter. APS certificate is required for Indian, Chinese, and Vietnamese applicants before the student visa can be issued (standard German consulate requirement, not specific to Constructor). Graduate applicants need a completed bachelor's degree; additional programme-specific requirements (e.g. work experience for MBA) apply. Decisions within 2-4 weeks of a complete application.
Application deadlines
Undergraduate Fall 2026: Early Action October 1 2025 - February 1 2026; Rolling (visa required) February 2 - June 1 2026; Rolling (no visa) February 2 - July 13 2026. Transfer Spring 2026: September 15 - November 30 2025. Graduate Fall 2026: same Early Action and Rolling windows as undergraduate. Online Master's: October 1 2025 - August 14 2026.
How international applicants apply
Direct application - no uni-assist. All applicants apply via Constructor University's own application portal (apply.constructor.university) on rolling admission: identity document, 2-3 years of high-school transcripts, CV, English proficiency (e.g. IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL iBT 90 / Duolingo 110), motivation statement and optional recommendation letter are uploaded directly to the admissions office; decisions come in 2-4 weeks. Standardized testing (SAT/ACT) is not required for evaluation but may be required at enrollment if the school diploma does not grant direct access to a German university - assessed by the university itself, not via uni-assist VPD.
Languages of instruction
English (all programmes); no German-taught degree programmes
Entry requirements, intake dates and language levels differ for every degree.

Living in Bremen
Bremen is a Hanseatic city-state in north-west Germany with a population of around 680,000. It has a compact, walkable old town (Böttcherstraße, the Roland statue - a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a lively student scene around the university district, and good rail connections to Hamburg (1 hour) and Amsterdam. The cost of living is moderate by German standards. Constructor University's campus is in the Vegesack district, roughly 17 km north of the city centre, served by tram and bus.
Student life & support
Undergraduate students live on campus in one of four residential colleges (C3, Mercator, Nordmetall, Krupp), each with a 24/7 resident mentor, communal dining, and its own social character. More than 60 student clubs and 100 annual events cover cultural festivals (Holi, Deepavali, Chinese New Year), sports, arts, and community governance. The Sports and Convention Center has four multi-purpose halls, a rowing tank, fitness centre, tennis and basketball courts, and swimming access. The Arts & Culture Center includes a theatre, concert hall, and music studio. Student governance bodies (USG for undergraduates, GSA for graduates) manage budgets and advocacy. The student-run bar TOS hosts weekly open events.
