About Constructor University

Constructor University (formerly Jacobs University Bremen) is a private, English-medium, residential research university located on a 34-hectare campus in Vegesack, Bremen. Founded in 2001, it operates as a non-profit institution and is ranked as Germany's #1 THE-ranked private research university (World University Rankings 2026, position 501-600 globally).

The university is organised into three schools: the School of Science, the School of Computer Science & Engineering, and the School of Business, Social & Decision Sciences. It offers 15 three-year bachelor's programmes, 5 two-year master's programmes, 3 doctoral programmes, an MBA, online degrees, and a pre-degree foundation year. All instruction is in English.
