Overview
For the academic year 2026/27, the Free State of Bavaria awards one-year scholarships to graduates (with appropriate citizenship) from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine. The scholarship finances postgraduate studies (Master's programs), PhDs or one-year research stays at a state or state-funded higher education institution in Bavaria. One-year scholarship generally extendable twice up to 3 years. Monthly EUR 992 (EUR 11,904/year); students with children receive EUR 1,152/month (EUR 13,824/year).
