Overview

Annual scholarship awarded for the winter semester to gifted, high-performing students who also show voluntary engagement; selection follows the Stipendienprogramm-Gesetz criteria plus the university's own award statute. Granted as a grant independent of income and not offset against BAfoeG. In 2025/26 35 scholarships were awarded from about 20 sponsors (172 applicants); sponsors include BASF, Pfalzwerke, Sparkasse Vorderpfalz, MLP and others. Renewal possible within the regular study duration after annual review of the criteria; extension of the maximum funding period possible for disability, pregnancy or childcare on request.
