Overview
TU Darmstadt is among Germany's most successful universities in recruiting Germany Scholarship sponsors, using a matching procedure that pairs student interests with donor interests. 377 students received the scholarship for the 2026/2027 funding period. Recipients get an income-independent EUR 300 monthly grant for at least two semesters and up to the end of the standard period of study; it can be combined with BAfoeG. A two-stage selection ranks candidates per department; parallel full DAAD scholarships cannot be combined.

Eligibility Requirements
- Enrolled TU Darmstadt students who remain within the standard period of study throughout the funding period
- bachelor max. 4th subject semester and master max. 2nd subject semester (teacher training max. 7th)
- social/societal engagement considered
- doctoral students excluded
- exceptions: joint masters with Goethe University Frankfurt apply there.
