Overview

Private contributions from companies, foundations, associations, alumni and private individuals are doubled by the state into scholarships of EUR 300 per month. Hohenheim can award up to 1.5 percent of its students (around 130 scholarships in WS 2024/25), subject to sponsor funding, with awards celebrated at a formal ceremony. Selection considers outstanding academic performance alongside social engagement and willingness to take responsibility - for example in clubs, political organisations, the family or the community. Biographical hurdles arising from family background, such as a migration background, are also taken into account.
