Living in Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt am Main is Germany's financial capital and one of Europe's most international cities, home to the European Central Bank, Deutsche Börse, and hundreds of financial institutions. The city offers strong graduate employment prospects in finance, consulting, and technology. Frankfurt Airport - Europe's third-largest - is ten minutes from the main train station, making the city exceptionally well connected globally. The cost of living is higher than Germany's average but offset by strong internship and career opportunities directly linked to the financial sector.

Student life & support

Frankfurt School hosts over 50 student initiatives spanning art and culture, professional development, social engagement, sports, and societies. A Student Council represents the full student body. German language classes are offered free of charge to all non-German-speaking students. The International Office supports incoming exchange students and outgoing mobility. Annual events include FS International Day (cultural food and networking), a semester-opening initiatives fair, and a Winter School (German Winter Summit) and Summer School (Finance & Management Bootcamp). Frankfurt itself offers hundreds of sports clubs, public pools, and cultural venues.
