About Frankfurt School of Finance & Management
Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is a private, state-recognised business school founded in 1957 as Bankakademie e.V. in Frankfurt am Main, Hessen. It specialises exclusively in finance, banking, management, economics, and data science, and is one of a small number of business schools worldwide to hold the Triple Crown of accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.
As of 2024 the school enrolls approximately 3,248 students in its degree programmes, with roughly 9,000 additional participants in executive education annually. Its main campus, relocated in 2017 to Adickesallee 32-34 in Frankfurt's Nordend district, is complemented by study locations in Hamburg (HafenCity), Munich, and Düsseldorf. Pre-experience master's programmes are taught entirely in English; bachelor's programmes begin in either German or English before switching to full English from the fourth semester.
Frankfurt School is a fee-charging private institution: bachelor's tuition runs €8,200 per semester and master's programmes (e.g. Master of Finance) cost €42,000 in total. It does not operate on the German public-university free-tuition model. What it costs
Frankfurt School is a private institution - tuition fees apply to all students regardless of nationality. Bachelor's (BSc): €8,200 per semester plus €100 application fee and €400 enrolment fee. Pre-experience Master's (e.g. Master of Finance, Master in Management): €42,000 total (2 years) plus €100 application fee and €400 enrolment fee; early-bird discounts available. Full-time MBA: €42,000 plus €400 enrolment fee. Foundation Year: €14,000 plus €400 enrolment fee. Deutschlandstipendium (€300/month) available; up to 60 awards planned for 2025/26. KfW student loans and other financing options available. No public semester contribution model applies here.
Admission requirements
Bachelor's (BSc): requires a recognised secondary school diploma (Abitur, IB, A-Levels, US High School Diploma or equivalent); DAAD database recommended for non-standard qualifications. Mandatory online Assessment Centre including an English evaluation; no separate IELTS/TOEFL submission required at application stage. APS certificate is required for applicants whose prior qualification is from India, China, or Vietnam before visa application. Pre-experience master's: bachelor's degree (min. 180 ECTS) preferably in business or economics; TOEFL iBT 90 or IELTS 7.0; GMAT/GRE or Frankfurt School internal admission test (non-waivable, with limited waivers for top-400 QS graduates, PhD holders, or CFA Level II). Full-time MBA: bachelor's degree plus minimum 3 years post-graduate work experience; GMAT/GRE preferred (waivers apply); TOEFL iBT 90 or IELTS 7.0. Foundation Year available (€14,400 total) for students who need preparation before bachelor's entry; taught entirely in English.

Full-time MBA (September 2026 intake): Non-EU applicants 31 May 2026; EU passport holders 31 July 2026. Rolling admissions - early application recommended for non-EU/visa applicants.
How international applicants apply
Not used - direct online application. Frankfurt School handles admissions through its own portals: applybachelors.frankfurt-school.de for Bachelor programmes (multi-stage procedure with Assessment Centre) and an internal online application (incl. GMAT/admission-test registration within the application) for Masters/MBA. Not listed among uni-assist's member universities; no uni-assist or VPD step appears on any admission page.
Languages of instruction
Pre-experience master's programmes fully in English. Bachelor's: first semesters in German or English, English-only from semester 4 onwards. Some professional/part-time master's programmes taught in German. Free German language courses provided to all enrolled students.
