At least one year of work as a dentist after the Approbation and before admission. Studienordnung 5(1): "Ausserdem muss der Bewerber nach der Approbation und vor Zulassung zum Studium mindestens ein Jahr als Zahnarzt gearbeitet haben." (DAAD phrases this as "License to practise as a dentist and at least 1 year of professional experience".)
Access to a practice or clinic where the applicant can treat patients independently, so that the Workplace-Learning component can be completed; this must be credibly demonstrated by the applicant. Studienordnung 5(2): "Der Bewerber benoetigt mindestens Zugang zur Praxis/Klinik (= Behandlungsmoeglichkeit) ... Dieses muss seitens des Bewerbers glaubhaft nachgewiesen werden."
