Also accepted as exemptions: Goethe-Zertifikat C1 (explicitly NOT sufficient on its own for Lehramt/teacher-training programmes or the Bachelor Lernfoerderung, which require above-average German proficiency given the nature of the course), or Goethe-Zertifikat C2 / Grosses Deutsches Sprachdiplom (GDS). For admission-unrestricted programmes, at least CEFR B2 must be demonstrated by the application deadline even before full DSH/TestDaF-level proof is due at enrolment; for admission-restricted (zulassungsbeschraenkt) programmes, full proof is due by the application deadline.
