Zur Zulassung zum Auslandsstudiensemester muss man wenigstens 55 CP aus den ersten zwei Fachsemestern haben (zum Zeitpunkt des Antritts des Auslandssemesters; Teil B der BPO Prüfungsordnung §7 Zulassung zum Auslandssemester). Wenn diese 55 CP nicht vorliegen sollten, muss ein Antrag auf Ausnahmeregelung bei der Prüfungskommission in der Abteilung Maschinenbau gestellt werden.
Im Auslandsstudiensemester soll die fachliche Vertiefung von studienbezogenen, technischen und wirtschaflichen Kenntnissen und Kompetenzen erfolgen
