Overview

Hochschule Offenburg has awarded Germany Scholarships every winter semester since 2011/12. Students receive EUR 300 per month, half co-financed by the federal government so sponsors double their effect. Funding lasts at least two semesters up to the end of the standard period of study, with an eligibility review after one year; it is income-independent, not paid during leave semesters, and stacks with BAfoeG. Selection weighs achievements and talents (entrance grade for first-years, ECTS and grades for enrolled students), awards, extracurricular and social commitment, special personal or family circumstances such as illness, disability, caring responsibilities or a migration background.
