Overview
The HU Deutschlandstipendium supports students of ALL nationalities with EUR 300 per month for at least two semesters, financed half by the federal government and half by private funders. In the 2026/27 funding year (1 April 2026 - 31 March 2027) 90.5 scholarships were awarded, including 37 subject-unrestricted ones; there are also themed classes such as 'Nachhaltigkeit und Globale Gerechtigkeit' hosted at IRI THESys that additionally award five credit points per semester. Applications run through the online portal hu-berlin.dstip.de; the application phase for the 2027/28 period will be announced on the website in October 2026 (in the previous round applications were due mid-December). Doctoral students are excluded; international students and new applicants who have submitted their Abitur certificate may apply.
