Overview
Around 40 scholarships awarded each year to committed and high-achieving students of all HNEE degree programmes, including dual-study and continuing-education degrees and second-bachelor students. Open to German AND international main (degree-seeking) students; exchange students are not eligible. Merit-based with engagement criteria: rule of thumb is at least 20 ECTS per semester with an average grade of 2.4 or better; social/university-political engagement, voluntary work, professional experience and personal circumstances (e.g., single parents, carers, first-generation students) also count. Selection: 70 percent of awards weighted performance + other achievements, 30 percent weighted performance + special personal/family circumstances. Not counted against BAfoeG; incompatible with talent-based funding above EUR 30/month average.
