Overview
The Germany Scholarship is a joint initiative of the federal government and private sponsors supporting committed and talented students at WHU. Thanks to donors including companies, associations, foundations and private individuals, more than 200 WHU students have been supported over the past 14 years. It provides EUR 300 per month, half funded by the federal government and half by private sponsors (sponsor contribution EUR 1,800 per year is matched to EUR 3,600 total). Assessment considers the wider circumstances of applicants beyond academic performance: special achievements, work experience, extracurricular activities and personal circumstances such as illness, caring for relatives, single parenthood or a migration background.
