About EHIP
The Europäische Hochschule für Innovation und Perspektive (EHiP) is a state-recognised private distance-learning university (Fernhochschule) located in Backnang, Baden-Württemberg. It was founded in 2022 and began accepting students in 2023, growing out of two established non-academic distance-learning institutes — the Academy of Sports and the Deutsches eLearning Studieninstitut (DeLSt) — whose combined participant base exceeds 15,000 per year.
The university offers fully digital, 100% online bachelor's programmes across two main subject areas: Business and Management (including specialisations in BWL, Digital Marketing, and HR Management) and Health, Sport and Nutrition (covering Sports Management and Nutrition Science, among others). All instruction is in German. Students can enrol on any day of the year, making it particularly suited to working professionals and career changers.
EHiP holds state recognition from Baden-Württemberg and is accredited by the Stiftung Akkreditierungsrat (German Accreditation Council). Individual distance-learning programmes additionally carry ZFU (Staatliche Zentralstelle für Fernunterricht) approval.

Admissions & costs
Tuition & fees
EHiP is a private fee-charging institution. Bachelor programmes are offered on a monthly-fee model with total programme costs cited at approximately €13,000 for a full bachelor's (maximum 72 months). A 4-week free trial period applies before fees commence. Per-ECTS-credit reductions of €45 are available where prior learning is credited. Baden-Württemberg's €1,500/semester non-EU surcharge applies to state public universities; as a private distance-learning institution EHiP sets its own fees and does not levy that surcharge separately. Specific current monthly rates are not published on the website; prospective students should contact the admissions office or request the current fee schedule.
Admission requirements
EHiP accepts applicants with a German Abitur, Fachabitur, or equivalent higher-education entrance qualification. Applicants without Abitur may also enrol if they hold a completed vocational qualification plus at least three years of relevant professional experience, or a Meister title, Fachwirt, Betriebswirt, or similar. Year-round enrolment is available (365 days). Required documents: proof of health insurance and a certified copy of the qualifying credential. No APS certificate requirement applies (EHiP is a private distance-learning institution; the APS mandate is for applicants applying to German universities whose prior schooling was in India, China, or Vietnam and who apply for a student visa — EHiP's online-only model and its target market of German-speaking students means international applicants from those countries should verify visa and APS requirements separately). German language proficiency is required as the medium of instruction.
Application deadlines
No fixed application deadlines — enrolment is open year-round (365 days/year). Students choose their own start date during online registration.
Languages of instruction
German (all programmes taught entirely in German; no English-taught programmes listed)

Willy-Brandt-Platz 2, 71522 Backnang, Baden-Württemberg — administrative and legal seat; all teaching is fully online
Living in Baden-Württemberg
Backnang is a town of approximately 38,000 inhabitants in the Rems-Murr district of Baden-Württemberg, around 30 km north-east of Stuttgart. The town has a long industrial history in leather-working and textiles; today its economy is anchored by technology companies including Ericsson and Tesat-Spacecom. Backnang has good rail connections to Stuttgart (approx. 40 minutes on the S-Bahn S3 line). As EHiP is a fully online institution, the physical location in Backnang is primarily administrative rather than a campus students attend.
Student life & support
Because EHiP is a 100% online Fernhochschule, there is no on-campus student life in the conventional sense. The university provides individual academic support through tutors and an online campus platform (myFOCUS). Optional in-person events may be organised but are not part of the regular curriculum. The target audience is predominantly working adults and career changers who study alongside employment, making flexible self-paced learning the defining feature of student life.
