Living in Biberach an der Riß

Biberach an der Riß is a small, historically rich town in Upper Swabia, Baden-Württemberg, with a population of around 35,000. It combines a lively weekly market, museums, and the nearby Federsee nature reserve with strong industrial presence - Liebherr and Boehringer Ingelheim are headquartered here, offering students substantial internship and career opportunities. The town has good rail and road connections to Ulm, Stuttgart, and Munich, and is within easy reach of Lake Constance, the Alps, and Castle Neuschwanstein.

Student life & support

The HBC campus has a friendly, close-knit atmosphere. Student life includes university parties, game nights, and a range of sports programmes. The International Office organises an orientation week before each semester and ongoing social and intercultural events for international students. Housing support is available through the International Office. The two campuses are linked by free e-scooters provided by the university.
