About University of Europe for Applied Sciences

The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) is a private, state-recognised Fachhochschule and part of the Global University Systems (GUS) network. Founded around 2000, it operates campuses in Berlin, Hamburg, Iserlohn, Potsdam, and Dubai. The university offers bachelor's, master's, and MBA programmes across Art & Design, Business & Sport, Tech & Software, Health & Psychology, and Dual Programmes, and is accredited by FIBAA, ZEVA, and AACSB.

The Hamburg campus is located at Museumstr. 39, 22765 Hamburg, in the Altona district, a short walk from Altona railway station. Facilities include animation and green-screen studios, a motion lab, TV studio, photo studios, sound lab, screen-printing workshop, editing rooms, and Mac pools. All programmes at the Hamburg campus are taught in English.

With more than 3,800 students from over 129 countries across its German campuses, UE positions itself as an internationally oriented applied-sciences institution. It is ranked among the 25 best schools with an international orientation worldwide by U-Multirank.

Formed 2017 by merger of BiTS (Business and Information Technology School, founded 2000) and Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule (BTK); renamed University of Europe for Applied Sciences October 2020; owned by GUS Germany GmbH (Global University Systems).

Three faculties per Wikipedia (checked July 2026): Business & Psychology; Sport, Media & Event Management; Art & Design - degrees accredited by FIBAA/ZEvA.

UE's own website organises information by campus and programme rather than publishing a formal faculty list; 25-year anniversary celebrated 2025 confirms 2000 roots.
