Living in Potsdam

Hamburg is Germany's second-largest city and its main port, located on the Elbe river in northern Germany. The city is a major hub for media, logistics, aviation, and technology industries, and is home to a large international community. The Altona district, where UE's Hamburg campus is located, is known for its multicultural character, diverse food scene, and direct rail connections to Hamburg central station.

Student life & support

UE operates a Welcome Centre that provides pre-arrival support for international students on visas, accommodation, and health insurance. German language courses are available on campus for a fee of €75 per semester. The Hamburg campus features specialist creative studios and co-working spaces. A semester public-transport ticket is mandatory and included in the cost structure, covering local transit in Hamburg. UE's Hamburg campus contact for international enquiries is the central service centre at [email protected].
