Bachelor applicants must hold a German Abitur/Fachabitur or a recognised equivalent (e.g. IB Diploma, GCE A levels, US High School Diploma, Turkish Lise Diplomasi). Foreign qualifications are assessed against German Central Office for Foreign Education (KMK/anabin) standards. Master applicants require a relevant bachelor's degree; the MBA additionally requires at least one year of full-time post-graduation work experience. English proficiency must be demonstrated at CEFR B2+ level. Accepted evidence (issued within the last two years): IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 74, TOEFL ITP 543, PTE Academic 59, Duolingo 120, Cambridge FCE B2, or the university's own internal placement test (60/100 pass mark). Applicants whose secondary or tertiary qualification was obtained in India, China (including Hong Kong and Macau), or Vietnam must provide an APS certificate (Akademische Prüfstelle) issued by the German embassy in their country of study before an admission decision can be made.

Fall intake (Winter Semester, starting October): applications are open on a rolling basis - apply early as places are limited. Spring intake (Summer Semester, starting February/March): application deadline is 1 February of that year for transfer students. Specific cut-off dates for new students should be confirmed directly with the admissions office as they vary by programme.

Foreign entrance qualifications are assessed against the equivalence criteria of the German Central Office for Foreign Education (KMK/anabin), plus APS for China/India/Vietnam. No uni-assist (VPD or full) is used or mentioned on official pages.

All programmes taught entirely in English. An English Preparatory Year and International Year One pathway are available for students who need to reach the required English level before commencing degree study.
