About ESCP Europe Wirtschaftshochschule Berlin e.V.

ESCP Business School (officially registered in Germany as ESCP Business School Wirtschaftshochschule Berlin e.V.) is a state-recognised private business school founded in Paris in 1819, making it one of the world's oldest business schools. The Berlin campus, located at Heubnerweg 8-10 in Charlottenburg, is one of six European campuses alongside London, Madrid, Paris, Turin, and Warsaw. Across all campuses the school enrols more than 11,000 students representing 140 nationalities, taught by 220 research-active professors.

The school holds triple accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS, and EFMD and is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. Its academic identity at the Berlin campus centres on three pillars — Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, and Digitalisation — supported by the Jean-Baptiste Say Institute for Entrepreneurship and the Blue Factory business incubator. Programmes span Bachelor in Management (BSc), Master in Management (MiM), specialised MSc degrees, MBA, Executive MBA, and doctoral studies.

ESCP charges programme-based tuition fees that are not covered by the German semester-contribution model. Fees differ between EU and non-EU applicants and range from approximately €26,300 per year (BSc, non-EU, 2026 intake) to €28,000 per year (MiM, non-EU). Instruction is primarily in English, with additional courses available in German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Chinese.

Living in Berlin

Berlin is Germany's capital and largest city, with approximately 3.7 million residents and a highly international character. It is a major hub for technology start-ups, creative industries, and policy institutions, making it particularly relevant for ESCP's focus areas of entrepreneurship and digitalisation. The Charlottenburg district, where the campus is located, is one of the city's most affluent and historically significant areas, adjacent to Charlottenburg Palace and its gardens. Berlin has an extensive public transport network, relatively affordable student living costs compared to other Western European capitals, and a vibrant cultural scene.

Student life & support

The Berlin campus features modern lecture halls, a library, seminar rooms, and student social spaces. Students have access to the Blue Factory business incubator for entrepreneurial ventures and to the Jean-Baptiste Say Institute for Entrepreneurship. The campus is situated near Charlottenburg Palace gardens, offering outdoor recreation space. ESCP Berlin runs student associations and maintains connections across its six European campuses, enabling cross-campus exchanges as part of many programmes.
