About FHH
Friedrich Heimerer Hochschule (FHH) is a private university of applied sciences in founding phase, legally registered in Erfurt, Thüringen. It is part of the broader Heimerer educational group - established in 1980 by Friedrich Heimerer - which operates nearly 40 vocational and specialist schools across Germany.
The Hochschule is developing two part-time bachelor's degree programmes in health-related fields delivered in a semi-virtual format, with in-person instruction at study centres in multiple German states. The first programme (Health Care, B.A.) completed accreditation in 2024; the second (Sportphysiotherapie, B.Sc.) was still in the accreditation process as of 2024.
Study operations are scheduled to begin in autumn 2026. Until state recognition as a Hochschule (Fachhochschule) is formally granted by the Thuringia Ministry for Economy, Science and Digital Society, enrolment has not opened. Detailed tuition fees, admission requirements, and application deadlines had not been published as of the research date.

What it costs
Not yet published. As a private institution, tuition fees are expected to apply but had not been announced as of June 2026. Thüringen does not charge general Studiengebühren at public universities; private institutions set their own fees independently.
Admission requirements
Target applicants are working professionals holding a completed three-year vocational qualification in a health profession (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, emergency medical services). Up to 30 ECTS credits may be recognised from prior vocational training. A higher education entrance qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung) is required. Specific entry requirements, APS requirements for Indian/Chinese/Vietnamese applicants, and language thresholds had not been published as of June 2026 - check heimerer.de/studium/ for updates.

Erfurt is the state capital of Thüringen (Thuringia) in central Germany, with a population of approximately 215,000. It is a historically rich city known for its intact medieval old town, Krämerbrücke (merchants' bridge), and the Erfurt Cathedral. The city has a well-established student population through the University of Erfurt and Fachhochschule Erfurt. It is well connected by rail (ICE hub) to Frankfurt, Berlin, and Munich.
