What it costs

HdWM is a private institution - tuition is charged for all programmes. BA Management in International Business: €590/month for EU students; €764/month for non-EU students. MA Business Management: approximately €690/month (confirm current rate directly). MBA International Business: €15,000 total (12 months; merit scholarships of up to 40% available). Baden-Württemberg's €1,500/semester non-EU surcharge applicable to state public universities does NOT apply here as HdWM is a private gGmbH. A solidarity contribution (Solidarbeitrag) of €22.80/semester applies to all students. One-time enrolment fee of €390.

Admission requirements

Bachelor's applicants need the German Fachhochschulreife or an equivalent school-leaving qualification (e.g. International Baccalaureate, A-levels, Indian Class XII - typically 12-13 years of schooling). The English-track BA requires upper B2 English proficiency; all common language certificates are accepted, including school medium-of-instruction letters. There is no fixed application deadline - intakes open on 1 April (summer) and 1 October (winter); early applications are recommended for visa processing. Master's programmes require a first degree in a relevant field. Indian/Chinese/Vietnamese applicants must additionally hold an APS certificate before applying for a German student visa. Applications are submitted by email with CV, diploma, ID copy, and language certificate to the admissions office.

Application deadlines

No fixed deadline. Intakes start 1 April (summer semester) and 1 October (winter semester). Applications are accepted up to 12 months in advance. Early application strongly recommended for non-EU applicants who need a student visa.

How international applicants apply

Not used. HdWM is a private, state-recognised university and does not appear on the official uni-assist member list for Baden-Wuerttemberg; its application pages never mention uni-assist or a VPD. Applications run exclusively through the university's own online portal bewerbung.hdwm.de (German/English), with rolling admission - there is no NC and no fixed deadline, applications are possible up to shortly before semester start (intake both winter and summer semester). The documented process is: online registration and document upload, review by the admissions office, an aptitude interview where needed (Aufnahmeinterview), signing a study contract within 14 days, then enrolment; preparatory German courses are offered to international students before study start. English-taught options (B.A. Management in International Business, MBA International Business) make it accessible without German at application time.

Languages of instruction

English (BA Management in International Business; MA Business Management EN; MBA) and German (MA Business Management DE; MA Business Management und Wirtschaftspsychologie; M.Sc. Wirtschaftspsychologie). Programmes are either fully English or fully German-taught; no bilingual tracks.

Entry requirements, intake dates and language levels differ for every degree.
