Living in Worms

Worms is one of Germany's oldest cities, located on the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate, approximately 60 km south of Frankfurt and 15 km north of Mannheim. It is known for its Romanesque cathedral (Wormser Dom), its role in the Protestant Reformation (Diet of Worms, 1521), and the Nibelung saga. The city offers affordable living costs relative to larger German cities and good rail connections to Frankfurt, Mannheim, and Heidelberg.

Student life & support

The compact single-campus setting fosters a close-knit student community. The AStA (student government) organises social events and represents student interests. Studierendenwerk Vorderpfalz provides subsidised canteen meals and affordable student housing options. The International Center runs integration activities for incoming international students. The city of Worms offers a manageable urban environment with easy access to the Rhine riverfront, vineyards, and day-trip destinations in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.
