About Hochschule München

Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften München (HM) is the second-largest University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) in Germany, with approximately 19,133 enrolled students across 14 faculties and two specialised centres (MUC.DAI and MUC.HEALTH). The university offers 101 degree programmes - 51 Bachelor's and 50 Master's - spanning engineering, computer science, geoinformatics, architecture, business, applied social sciences, design, and tourism, with a strong emphasis on applied research and industry cooperation.

HM operates across three campuses in Munich: the main Campus Lothstraße (engineering, design, administration), Campus Pasing (business and social sciences), and Campus Karlstraße in the museum district (architecture, civil engineering, geoinformatics). The university employs 500 professors, 675 staff members and researchers, and approximately 750 part-time lecturers.

For international students, the majority of Bachelor's programmes are taught in German; English-taught Master's options are available in fields such as Photonics, Micro- and Nanotechnology, Paper Technology, Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation, and Business Administration: Digital Technology Management. Over 100 individual lectures and seminars per semester are also offered in English across all departments through the Courses in English (CiE) programme.
