About MUDT
Hochschule für Digitale Technologien München (Munich University of Digital Technologies & Applied Sciences, MUDT) is a recently state-recognised private university of applied sciences in Munich. It received official recognition from the Free State of Bavaria in April 2025, following a founding process that began in 2022. The institution focuses exclusively on digital technologies, with bachelor's programmes in Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Digital Industrial Engineering, and Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, as well as an M.Eng. in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence.
The university operates from the Siemens Neuperlach Campus (Otto-Hahn-Ring 6, Building 75, 81739 München), positioning students within a major technology corridor alongside companies such as Siemens, Accenture, and Ricoh. All programmes are taught in English using a project-based, industry-integrated curriculum that includes a dedicated final-year internship and bachelor thesis. The institution describes its pedagogical model as an "American-style active learning" approach.
As a young, privately funded specialist institution, MUDT charges per-semester tuition fees (€4,800/semester confirmed for at least one bachelor's programme) and offers merit-based scholarships of 10-80% of tuition. It is explicitly not tuition-free in the way public German universities are.
