Admissions & fees

What it costs

DIPLOMA Hochschule is a private institution and charges tuition fees. The official site indicates approximately €500 per month for on-campus programmes; total monthly costs including housing (~€350) and living expenses (~€300) are estimated at ~€1,250 for the Bad Sooden-Allendorf campus. No semester contribution (Semesterbeitrag) separate from tuition is mentioned for non-public-fee components. Dual-study tuition is typically covered by the employer. Specific per-semester fee amounts are not published as a flat rate on the official site and should be confirmed directly with the admissions office, as an Early Bird discount of €10/month was offered for 2026/27 enrolment.

Admission requirements

International applicants must hold a recognised Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB). Foreign secondary-school certificates are assessed via the anabin database; individual Einzelfallprüfung may apply if the institution or qualification is not listed. Minimum German language requirement for admission is B2 (recognised certificates: TestDaF, telc, Goethe). Students without a directly qualifying certificate may enter a preparatory course leading to the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP), for which B1 German is the minimum entry level. The APS certificate is not mentioned on the official site; however, Indian, Chinese, and Vietnamese applicants should independently verify whether their prior qualification triggers the APS requirement, as this is an embassy-level mandatory check that individual universities do not always advertise. Two application checklists exist: one for EU applicants and one for non-EU applicants, available via the International Office.

Application deadlines

On-campus (Präsenzstudium) programmes: October intake only. Online/distance learning: April and October intakes. An Early Bird deadline of 30 June applies for the winter semester 2026/27. Exact deadlines for international applicants should be confirmed with the International Office as visa processing timelines require earlier submission.

How international applicants apply

Direct application - uni-assist is not used. Registration and advising run via diploma.de and [email protected] (+49 40 228 988 240); admission requirements vary by programme (Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, vocational routes, studying without Abitur). All programmes are German-language distance, presence or dual formats.

Languages of instruction

All programmes are taught in German. No English-taught degree programmes are listed on the official site.

Entry requirements, intake dates and language levels differ for every degree.
