International applicants holding a non-German qualification apply through the International Office ([email protected]). Entry requirements depend on the target programme and whether the applicant's school-leaving or bachelor's qualification is recognised under the anabin database. German-taught programmes require German language proficiency (typically B2/C1; exact level is programme-specific). English-taught master's programmes specify their own language requirements per programme. Indian, Chinese, and Vietnamese applicants whose prior qualification was obtained in those countries must hold an APS certificate (issued by the German Embassy/Consulate) before the visa application - this is a German consulate requirement, not university-specific. The Student Services Centre ([email protected]) handles enrolment; the Info-Center (+49 69 1533-0) can direct queries to the correct admission team.

The university publishes application deadlines per programme through its online application portal. The winter semester runs 1 October - 31 March (lectures mid-October to late January); the summer semester runs 1 April - 30 September (lectures mid-April to mid-July). International applicants are advised to contact the International Office well in advance to confirm programme-specific deadlines, as these vary. Re-registration payment for continuing students is due by 1 September (winter) or 1 March (summer).

uni-assist mandatory (application processing) for most degree programmes. International applicants submit their application via the My assist portal of uni-assist e.V., which performs the fee-based preliminary review of the university entrance qualification and forwards the application; up to three programme choices per uni-assist application; Bachelor applicants with Studienkolleg requirement also register with hochschulstart.de (BID/BAN). Even applicants who already hold a VPD or Pruefbericht from uni-assist, or who are enrolled at another German university, MUST apply via uni-assist. After delivery, Frankfurt UAS creates an account for the applicant in its own FranCa portal for status tracking. Exceptions applying directly: cooperative masters run with RheinMain UAS (apply at hs-rm.de) and KompetenzCampus further-education masters (apply to the faculty).

Most bachelor's programmes are taught in German. A range of English-taught master's programmes is available; prospective students should consult the degree-programme finder or contact the International Office ([email protected]) for the current list of English-track programmes. A Language Center on campus offers German and other language courses.
