Neubrandenburg Campus

Single campus at Brodaer Strasse 2, 17033 Neubrandenburg. Described as a campus university with a family-oriented atmosphere and on-campus student residences managed by Studierendenwerk Greifswald.

Living in Neubrandenburg

Neubrandenburg is a city of approximately 63,000 residents in northeastern Germany, situated in the Mecklenburg lake district close to the Polish border. The city is known for its remarkably well-preserved medieval town wall (Stadtmauer) and four historic gate towers. Cost of living is low by German standards - the university estimates students need around €1,000 per month. The surrounding countryside offers lakes, forests, and cycling routes, making it appealing for students who prefer a quieter environment over a large urban centre.

Student life & support

The International Office runs a Buddy Programme pairing incoming international students with local peers. On-campus accommodation is available in four halls of residence managed by Studierendenwerk Greifswald (furnished single rooms and studio apartments). The university has sports facilities, a canteen, and a cafeteria. Regular networking events are organised for international students to build intercultural connections. The university's Language Centre supports language learning throughout the semester.
