What it costs

Private tuition-charging institution: bachelor approx. EUR 4,500-5,100 per semester, master approx. EUR 3,720-5,280 per semester (MyGermanUniversity); one-off registration fee may apply.

Admission requirements

All programmes NC-free; admission via school-leaving certificate (or equivalent), CV, motivation letter, creative portfolio and selection procedure; small groups with industry mentoring.

Application deadlines

Rolling: 'apply anytime' per MyGermanUniversity; for winter semester 2026/27 entry applications were accepted until 31 August.

How international applicants apply

Direct application - AMD is private and does not use uni-assist, VPD or hochschulstart. Applications go through AMD's own application form (amdnet.de/bewerbung, English route amdnet.com/application) and are accepted all year round (winter-intake applications until 31 August). Selection includes CV, motivation letter and a creative portfolio of 5-10 works plus a selection process; language requirement is B2 in German or English depending on the programme.
